A busy spring can make a podcast drop a day late, but it also makes for the best kind of behind-the-scenes update. I’m Tracy, and I’m inviting you into my Brewtifully Made studio for a quick, real-time tour of what my creative shop looks and sounds like when it’s in motion from the little background noises outside to the displays I’m building for the weekend.

We start with the flower cart, where the goal isn’t just to “buy flowers.” I’m turning the cart into an artsy bouquet experience: make your own card, color your own flower, draw with crayons, pencils, or markers, and use real blooms as inspiration. I also share how these ideas sometimes show up in the middle of the night, and what it takes to write them down, paint the umbrella, and make them real by morning.

From there, I walk you through a community art month and our itty bitty art exhibit prep, including tiny details like my mini mahjong scene and a mini version of one of my mahjong mat designs. You’ll also hear what’s on the merchandise wall, what craft kits and class supplies are out, and how the studio balances retail with hands-on making. Mahjong is a big theme too: I became a Miss Mahjong dealer, I’m stocking sets you can touch in person, and I’m building out custom made mats, bags, and even a pickleball collaboration with custom covers and paddles. I wrap with a candid update on launching wholesale on Faire, the realities of being a one-woman show, and an open invite if you want to come on the podcast to share your passion.

Subscribe for more studio updates, share this with a creative friend, and leave a review if it helps you keep going. What passion are you ready to pursue next?

Hey everyone, it's Tracy. Welcome to a new episode of Bruttifully Made that is a day late, but it's been a really busy week, and I'm here Saturday, and I wanted to show you um kind of like what the setup is in my studio and my waving kraftina outside. That's kind of what you hear in the background. So I want to show you the flower cart and everything going on for the weekend. So when you walk in, my little kraftina is what you hear. Here is the store. So we have the flower card out right now for Easter. And it is an artsy bouquet. So you can create a bouquet with um crafty things so you can make your own card, color your own flower, draw with crayons, pencils, markers, and pick flowers for inspiration to do your artwork. You can choose to get a DIY pinwheel and color that. So yeah, this idea kind of like woke me up in the middle of the night. I wrote it down and created the cart and painted the umbrella on the top. It's super cute. But this is the kind of things that uh kind of wake me up in the middle of the night as a small business owner and I don't know, kind of make them come to life. Um, we're getting ready for the itty bitty art exhibit this month, and the reception is next week. And here's some of the art that the community has done. I created a little mini mahjong scene, made some little acrylic tables for the snacks. That's actually one of my designs of my mats that I sell. So I made a mini version, created the little shadow box on the wall, the little cabinet. That's actually my artwork of koi fish that was licensed to a jeweler in Florida. Painted a little canvas and added that beautiful Bamberd. And some more of the great artwork. So it's a community month of art. So that is something that I wanted to show you. Um and kind of just show you around the studio. It's been a long time since you've really seen it. So uh I'll show you some of the merchandise area so you can buy kind of cute little craft kits and things that the kids can make. This is examples of some of the crafts that you can do. We have these really cool lights that you can make when you're here. The little pins and magnets, all kinds of craft kits. We have a community art piece that you can make your mark. You can see the one on the wall in the background. That was from last year, so I'll hang it on the wall when we're done. We do things like hand knitting, and these are my sushi scarves that you can make. This one's on the machine, and this one's hand knitted. You can make a blanket, supplies. I have art rotating on the screen. These are supplies that we've had out for classes that we've been doing: needle felting, little miniatures, sensory bottles, stuffy kits, tassels, little Picasso's sent me this cute little banner for everyone to color, and it's all mahjong related. Look how fun! So I have that out today, so we can continue working on that. And then here's some of the mahjong things that you can purchase. So I became a dealer for Miss Um Mahjong, and so I can get their things in to resell them. So this is one that you can actually touch and feel in the store, and I have a set for sale, and then I have custom made mats and bags, and I'm getting ready to do a collab with a pickleball company, and I have custom pickleball covers and paddles that you can get. Um, there's coasters, there's tiles, just beginner sets and things like that. So these are some of the clothes that I have that you can get in the shop that are for sale. So I have mahjong sweatshirts and other cute clothes that I wear. And then these are some of the sale items. This is a little dressing area, and then this is the celebration room. So we have birthday parties and things in here, and I've done a few of my episodes in here, but these are some of my mats that I these are all the ones that I've designed, and so I have the carpet styles, I have the rubber back styles, and I just have them out so everyone can see them. I've been reorganizing this cabinet or cabinet, this carrier. So that's why all this is on um the table right now, and I'm waiting on a new shelf to come in. So this is just kind of like an update of some things that um have been going on since I started the podcast, and this is my fourth season. So I was here um and I wanted to say hello and you know, record a new episode and share what's going on. So I will be sharing some more. I just started my fair um wholesale business last week. I talked about that, and that's going really well. So I have more to add to that and more requests. People are asking for things that are on my website that aren't on fair, so I have to add those. It's just I am a one-woman show. It has been a very busy spring, and I am so grateful for it. And I can't thank you enough for following along. So I will talk to you later. And if you have a passion for something that you want to do, please pursue it. And if you want to talk about it with me on my podcast, I would love to have you as a guest. If you've loved to play Mahjong and you want to just share your love for that, let me know. I would love to have you as a guest on on the on an episode. That would be tremendous. So much fun. We can learn from each other. So take care, have a wonderful Easter, wonderful weekend, and I will talk to you later. Bye.
